This is a clip from an episode of “30 Days” and it relates to an older post on thegoddam.com about the phrase “In God We Trust” on our paper currency. In the clip I like how the (obvious) atheist points out the ignorance of a “Christian America”.

That’s a great video. I wish we could all be as dignified in these fights as the atheist in the video.
Here’s to the separation of church and state!
The thing that pisses me off the most is this: I’m a lawyer. I understand the caselaw and constitutional basis for the church/state separation tests. And there just ain’t any way, in my personal and professional opinions, to justify the defense of “In God We Trust” on our currency and the “under God” in the pledge. And yet the judiciary keeps bowing to political/religious/social pressure to either justify stuff that’s “beloved and traditional,” or instead they keep dodging the question. And everyone suffers.

If you look on my post at Friday April 11th on thegoddam.com I posted a link for a petition. I dont understand how online petitions can do anything but its all I could find.
